Deliver accurate and competitive cost estimates that ensure project profitability and foster strong, long-term client relationships.
What you’ll get to do
- Make strategic bidding decisions with Project Managers on projects up to $40M and 4-years long, based on team capacity and project goals.
- Deliver accurate and competitive estimates that position us to win complex sitework projects while maintaining profitability.
- Prepare efficient and timely bids that meet client needs and project deadlines for CTDOT, MADOT, municipal, and private civil/utility projects.
- Foster strong client relationships through collaborative project budgeting and execution.
- Drive cost savings by applying value engineering strategies that enhance project efficiency.
- Ensure projects are executed profitably by aligning cost expectations with financial goals.
- Build lasting client partnerships through quality work, repeat business and trusting relationships.
About you
- You have 5+ years of site development, utility or heavy highway Estimating experience
- People are impressed by how easily you adapt, no matter what’s thrown your way. You’ve got this way of staying flexible and keeping things moving smoothly with clients, even when things get tough. It’s a real gift.
- Your proficiency with estimating software enables you to stay totally organized, even in the midst of chaos (HCSS, Procrontractor, Agtek, or similar).
Even better, but not required if
- You have experience with Federal Contracting - working with Eversource, Amtrak, National Grid, CNG, Aquarion, CT Water, MDC, and/or RWA
